For every dog owner struggling with a reactive dog...
Take Your Dog From Reactive To Calm In 7 Days:
Finally Put An End To Excessive Barking, Lunging & Growling.
When you brought your dog home, you were sure about the good times and the love.
But instead? You’re seeing behaviors that make it really hard to love having a dog:

Instead of fun trips to the dog park where you casually chat with other dog owners, you opt for your own backyard to avoid the embarrassment of being unable to control your dog.
Instead of leisurely walks through the neighborhood, they’re forcefully walking you, while lunging and snarling at other dogs.
Instead of enjoying having a dog, your dog’s extreme reactive behavior has you questioning if getting a dog was a good idea.
Reactive behaviors not only interfere with the relationship with your dog—they wreak havoc on your life:

Excessive barking anytime someone walks past your home. You’re sure everyone on your block is rolling their eyes everytime your dog disturbs the peace.

Aggressively snarling & lunging at other dogs during your walks so much so that you dread taking him outside.

Barking and getting worked up while in the car, making for a stressful (and potentially dangerous) ride every time.

Non-stop pulling on the leash during walks, making them impossible to enjoy because you’re spending the entire time fighting her.

Constant barking or growling anytime anyone comes to the door. Could be a new delivery person, the mailman they see every day, or even you.

Getting overly-excited—whether positively or negatively— to the point that they’re uncontrollable.
If Your Dog Does Even One Of These Things
You don’t have a bad dog. You have a reactive dog.
Reactivity is simply your dog having an over-the-top reaction in response to a normal situation.
And these reactions, which often stem from fear, anxiety, or frustration, are actually pretty common. Some studies show that up to 75% of dog owners have noticed reactive behaviors in their dog.
But just because it’s common doesn't mean it’s any easier to deal with.

Having A Dog Can Add So Much Happiness To Your Life…
But a reactive dog can take a toll on your mental health.

Embarrassment
Every time your dog acts up, you’re mortified.
You’re sure everyone’s judging you, thinking “Did she even try to train that dog?” or “He cannot handle that dog.”
Every other dog you see seems to be an angel in comparison, and you can’t figure out what you’re doing wrong.

Stress
Everyday brings with it more worries about how your dog is going to behave.
Will this quick walk be eventless or will there be another incident with that dog that lives down the street?
Will he growl at everyone you pass while you grab a coffee at the farmers market?

Regret
When you decided to adopt your dog, you didn’t realize just how many deep-seated issues they’d have.
You hate to admit it, but you’re starting to regret taking them home in the first place.
And because of that, you feel guilty that you can’t handle them better.
The What-Ifs Are Endless
I NEED HELP WITH MY REACTIVE DOGYou don’t have time for all the pricey and time consuming standard dog training tricks out there:
Spending over $200 an hour on an in-home trainer:
Sure, they might help your dog learn things like sit and stay, but will they really address the deeply rooted issues?
Getting stressed out at a local dog training class:
With all the people, dogs, and noise, you’ll likely spend the whole class trying to keep your dog from lunging towards the other reactive dogs there.
Wasting countless nights watching YouTube videos:
There’s plenty of amateur videos out there and chances are you’re going to find a lot of strategies you know you want to avoid. Things like shock collars, locking the dog in the crate, and bribing, to name a few. Nothing that truly gets to the root of the problem.
Trying that thing that worked for your childhood dog:
But that was a different dog and it was a different time, and it’s likely that it won’t this time around.

Is finding a reasonably-priced solution that won’t waste your time too much to ask?
HERE’S THE PROBLEM WITH TRADITIONAL DOG TRAINING STRATEGIES:
All of the focus is on your dog, and not enough of it is on YOU.

According to many animal behaviorists, our own behavior actually has a huge impact on our dog’s behavior.
Dogs are experts at reading human body language, and when a reactive dog sees that we’re anxious, angry, or frustrated, chances are, they’re going to be on high alert—no matter what cues we give to calm them down.
And so the best dog trainers aren’t actually the ones who only understand dog psychology. The best dog trainers understand human psychology too.
How refreshing would it feel if you weren’t constantly stressed about your dog’s behavior?
If you could just leave for a walk, trusting that your dog would be completely unphased by other dogs, people, or other triggers that used to cause explosive outbursts?
If you could have people over without having to apologize profusely for your dog because, this time, he’s calmly welcoming your guests and then leaving them alone?
If you randomly found yourself thinking “How lucky am I that my dog and I found each other?”

BY LEARNING WHY YOUR DOG IS REACTIVE AND HOW TO CALM THEM…
This can be your reality.
By the time you complete this course, you’ll have:
-
A deeper understanding of why your dog is reactive and what’s triggering them.
-
The comprehensive skills you need to better communicate with your dog and guide their behavior away from reactivity.
-
A calmer and happier pet.
-
Newfound confidence as a dog parent.
-
A closer connection with your dog filled with trust, respect, and extra doggie kisses!

Educational Experience
I have read a lot of articles, watched many videos, and heard from other dog parents through various means and various methods of training, philosophies and science of dog rearing, etc. But this is the first time I have experienced first-hand positive results from the very beginning. And it was through K9TI’s training videos. They were very helpful in giving me a real understanding of my 3-month old beagle and what he really needed.

Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time finding very specific testimonials that talk about specific reactive behaviors and that they were solved

MEET YOUR TRAINER:
Dr. Tammy McClain — Human psychologist AND dog training expert
As both a Doctor and Professor of Psychology AND a CATCH Certified Dog Trainer, Tammy approaches dog training from a completely different angle than every other dog trainer.
When it comes to successfully training reactive dogs, understanding dog psychology is only half of it. Where most trainers miss the mark is that they don’t consider how we as dog parents influence our dog’s behavior.
Tammy understands both.

With a PhD in Psychology, Tammy has spent decades helping people work through all kinds of trauma, anxiety, and other behavioral health concerns. Now, she’s taking that knowledge and applying it towards helping humans become better dog parents.
Using a gentle, fear-free, positive reinforcement-centered approach and strategies used for service dogs, Tammy has taught hundreds of dog owners how to respond to their dog and improve their behavior—while being mindful of their own negative thoughts, non-verbal cues, and emotions.
With the perfect balance of human and dog psychology (and the same energy of that reassuring doctor you love to visit), Tammy is able to break down everything you need to do to overcome reactivity in a more well-rounded and impactful way than someone who is just a dog trainer.
Also on your team:

Dr. Alexa Diaz, PhD
Lead Animal Behaviorist
K9 Training Institute
With a PhD in animal behavior, Alexa has trained service dogs for more than 20 years.
She previously worked with one of the only 2 nationally recognized service dog training organizations in the US, training service dogs to assist people with hearing or mobility issues, as well as therapy dogs for kids with special needs.
Along with her hands-on experience, she has also published her research on animal behavior in two scientific journals.

Eric Presnall
Lead Presenter and Trainer
K9 Training institute
Before working with the K9 Training Institute, Eric was the host of the hit Animal Planet TV show “Who Let the Dogs Out”.
The show sought out the most unique and well-trained dogs in the U.S.—from skateboarding dogs, to surfing dogs, to service dogs, and more.
He judged trainers in terms of how well their dogs followed cues, while working alongside Hollywood stars who were also animal rights activists, including Betty White and Greg Kinnear.
Tammy really helped me to calm myself down, and this really helped my dog, Beau's, reactivity.
I hadn't realized how much my own anxiety was affecting his behavior. I was tightening the leash and holding my breath because I was so nervous, and Beau responded much better when I was able to relax and just walk him past other dogs.
We started a distance away from the other dog, and were quickly able to work up to walking past another dog with Beau no longer lunging and barking. It was great to see and I highly recommend working with Tammy to help with reactive dogs.
— C. F., West Virginia
The quality of the trainer was probably the best in the world.
They made it really easy and they wanted me to be successful—I noticed a difference in 2 days.

I believe all dog owners need to watch this training program, no matter how old or young the dog is. It's an eye opener.
This was so extremely helpful with our puppy, Pebble. We've had a bit of a struggle until my family & I watched this video. Now I feel as if all of us have an open communication with Pebble and we keep it consistent in our home. It has made our life much easier to train her.

What You’ll Discover In The Course
With a combination of videos and written content that bring the principles to life, we’ll take your hand and guide you through everything you need to know about understanding and managing your dog’s reactivity. To make sure that you feel comfortable taking action right away, each module ends with quick exercises that help you apply what you’ve learned.
Step 1: A Complete Understanding Of Your Dog’s Reactivity
In order to completely eliminate reactivity, you need to understand the psychology behind your dog's behavior and how your dog responds to stressful situations.
In this course, we simplify dog psychology and give you the full picture of what emotions are triggering your dog’s behaviors, how they learn best, and WHY the reactivity is happening in the first place.
That way, you’ll walk away feeling like an expert at understanding your dog AND be able to successfully stop their overreactions.
YOU’LL LEARN:
The most common emotions that cause reactivity and why.
How to figure out your dog’s optimal level of arousal and why it’s important.
How to teach your dog deep breathing strategies so that they can relax instead of overreact (yes - even dogs can be taught how to deep breath just like humans).
What YOUR dog is truly motivated by (Hint: not all dogs are treat motivated).
How to read your dog’s body language and understand what they’re trying to tell you.

Step 2: A Complete Understanding Of How YOU Influence Your Dog
How you engage with your dog — the energy you're putting out, the verbal and non-verbal cues you're giving, how you respond to stressful situations — has the ability to either calm your dog or magnify their reactive behavior.
Unlike any course out there, we give you practical skills to bring awareness to yourself and how YOU react to your dog’s reactivity.. That way, you can lead your dog with the calm confidence they need to overcome reactivity.
YOU’LL LEARN:

How to create a trusting relationship with your dog where they always look to you for information about a situation.
What signals your own body language is sending to your dog.
To incorporate deep breathing strategies during the times you’re feeling anxious with your dog.
The importance of projecting confidence and how to do it.
How to challenge negative thoughts using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Step 3: All The Tools You'll Ever Need To Eliminate Reactivity
By using our fear-free, science-backed approach to dog training (the same approach used by service-dog trainers), reactivity will no longer be a part of your life.
We dive into the practical and easy-to-follow training techniques that will keep your dog's attention on you, create new associations to triggers, and reinforce consistently calm behavior.
With step-by-step instruction supplemented by video demonstrations, you’ll learn the exact methods you can use to stop your dog’s reactivity and create the relationship with your dog that you’ve been wishing for.
YOU’LL LEARN:
The foundational training techniques to eliminate reactivity for good, with step-by-step and beginner-friendly instructions.
How to guide your dog through stressful situations and keep their attention on you.
How to handle triggers no matter where they happen:
—Towards other dogs during walks
—In the car
—At the fence
—At the window
…and more!
Counterconditioning and desensitization practices to help your dog finally respond more calmly to triggers.
3 incredibly powerful but easy-to-use science-backed training techniques to overcome reactivity (see below).

All the powerful science-backed learning — but without the confusion.
We give you the full picture when it comes to understanding what’s driving your dog’s behavior and how to fix it.
But all in a way that’s easy to apply for any regular pet parent (so you don’t need to be a scientist to use these techniques).
By the time you finish this course, you’ll understand:

Conditioned Emotional Responses
A Conditioned Emotional Response is a new and better emotion that your dog has been taught (conditioned) to feel in response to a trigger.
For instance, if your dog currently feels fear or frustration when they see another dog, we’ll show you how you can easily teach them to feel relaxed instead by pairing the same trigger with a positive association.

Yerkes-Dodson Law
Yerkes-Dodson Law explains the relationship between performance and arousal. Each dog has their own optimal level of arousal, which is when they learn best.
When arousal is low, they’ll be tired and sleepy. But when arousal is too high, they won’t be able to pay attention enough to learn anything new.
By learning YOUR dog’s optimal level of arousal, you can be sure that they’re learning everything you teach them. And we’ll teach you exactly how to do that - it’s super simple once you know how!

Operant and Classical Conditioning
These are the two ways that your dog learns:
Classical conditioning is learning to associate a specific response to a stimulus.
Operant conditioning, however, uses positive and negative reinforcement to encourage or discourage a behavior.
But don’t worry—you won’t need to master the theory—we’ll simply show you step-by-step how you can easily use both to help overcome your dog’s reactivity.
And so much more!
A must for all dog owners!
This has been such a big help in getting my dog’s behavior to change. It has eased a lot of stressors in my household.”
— Crisi Okumura
Amazing.
I now know what to do to get my dog to stop barking when the doorbell rings and to cease pulling on the leash when out walking
— Leah Kroll
It seems to be a gentle approach to dog training. They use the trainer’s body rather than words. They teach you how to talk to your dog as if you were a dog. I believe body language is key, and I feel it is the way to go. You become the dog’s boss, and his or her best friend at the same time.
— Cathee Pyne Sheirich
The K9 Training Institute is helping me with my 12 week-old Cocker Spaniel, or should I say cross between a piranha and a velociraptor. In the last week she has started to calm easier, and not bite.
— Linda, Australia
Did you know…
That you can actually teach your dog to take deep breaths?
It’s true: Deep breathing isn’t only for humans. Dogs can be taught how to take a calming breath during stressful situations, effectively taking them out of that scary fight or flight mode and into a calmer state where they’re better able to follow your cues.

Or that reactive behaviors always come with warning signs?
Those signs come in the form of your dog’s body language: maybe a hard stare, some lip licking, or even some turning away. All of these signs (and others) communicate that your dog is stressed.
So by becoming a pro at reading your dog’s body language, you’re effectively learning how to communicate with him, and therefore, you can help him calm down before the behaviors even happen.
We’ve already helped 21,202 dogs and dog owners with this eye-opening information.
And now we’re going to help you.

Outstanding.
It's been a few weeks since I purchased the course.. Very happy with it so far. My yorkie used to pull on his leash everytime I used to take him out for a walk. That has now stopped completely, and he maintains constant eye contact with me during our walks. He has also become a lot more calm inside the house instead of being excitable all the time, as he used to be.
— Jack P.
They are true professionals and give you sound advice regarding all the training your dog needs.
— Raimis G.
I have already seen an improvement in our 2 dogs in just two days.
Just by following the techniques in the short demonstration video. Specifically, less barking at people outside our house, like the FedEx guy, following the Come command more consistently inside the house and inside our fenced backyard, and more loose leash walking.
— Donna R.

Eliminate reactivity using the same methods used to train service dogs.
There’s a reason service dogs are so well-behaved and obediently follow every cue. (And contrary to what so many think: it’s not because of the breed.)
Service dogs are trained in a very specific way that considers their underlying psychology and how it’s impacted by our underlying psychology.
When you better understand why your dog is reactive and how you influence that behavior, you can quickly train your dog to be just as cooperative as a service dog.
This course from the K9 Training Institute is the only one out there that teaches regular pet parents exactly how to use the secret methods used by service dog trainers to overcome reactivity.

I've looked for and researched many "dog training" books, apps, and online tutorials. I’ve watched TV shows claiming to be the very best for you and your dog. I didn’t want to do the "severe discipline" routine for obvious reasons and I also didn’t want to do the "reward only" system that has my dog looking for food every step of our outdoor activities. That just didn’t make sense to me.
Now that I found K9 Training Institute, I have all the answers to the questions I’ve been asking for years.
— Laurie R.

The longer you wait to train your dog, the more problems you run into
Aside from losing more sleep, money, and sanity, you also run into the terrible possibility of your dog hurting another person or dog.
Without working towards a solution, it’s possible for your dog's behaviors to compound and create difficult situations for years—and even for your dog’s entire lifetime with you.

K9TI student Christie and her dog Pebbles
Before K9TI
Pebbles would become easily overexcited
She wouldn’t follow cues
She would bark excessively at anyone passing by
After K9TI
“After 2 days, I could already notice a difference in her behavior, and then within 2 weeks she started being more obedient and listening to me, and within a month, she stopped barking as people passed by.”

Excellent Dog Training Program.
I am super-impressed. Walking with Carlo (our German Shepherd puppy) has become so much more enjoyable now! Instead of constantly pulling on his leash like he used to, he now always walks at our side.
And instead of trying to run away everytime we open the front door (and almost getting run over by a car once because of this), he now sits patiently in front of the door even without a leash on until I give him permission to go out. He has become so well-trained and seems to behave like a service dog now!
— Samantha M.

The world is a more gentle place when we take care of each other. It’s our mission to help as many non-profits as we can. After all, the love of a dog is one of the purest you will ever experience. We believe in spreading that love to the rest of the world, one organization at a time.
Isn’t it time that having a dog only brought more happiness to your days?
When you invest in uncovering what’s causing your dog’s reactive behavior and how to handle it, you’re one step closer towards all the happiness of being with man’s best friend.
Which is what both you and your dog deserve.
It’s important to note that each dog is different and, based on their predisposition, history, and demeanor, some may require more time or the expertise of a professional Veterinarian or Behaviorist for their behaviors to become manageable. While implementing these strategies, it is still the owner’s responsibility to properly control their dog to keep both their dog and others safe.
K9TI can not provide 1:1 support beyond our weekly recorded Q&A calls. Additionally, this course is not suitable for dogs who have exhibited extreme aggression in the form of biting. If your dog is exhibiting dangerous behavior, it is recommended that you pursue additional support.
